Data IT company ScTiger receives investment from Iron Asset Management.

Press release

Rijswijk, 2 February 2022 – Investment firm Iron Asset Management, led by Jordy Kool, has invested in data IT company ScTiger, which specializes in business intelligence, data science and data engineering. ScTiger is a relatively new player in the market. Its management team has built up many years of experience at a comparable IT company. The investment comes one and a half years after the founding of ScTiger and means that Future Human Capital Group (FHCG) joins the company as a co-shareholder. Through this investment, FHCG broadens its scope within the IT sector, while ScTiger positions itself as a challenger in the data and consultancy market. As a result, ScTiger now becomes one of the labels within the Hague-based Future Human Capital Group (FHCG).

Data is growing rapidly, and so is the ability to turn it into knowledge. Future Human Capital Group believes that the future of data will shape every industry: “Although the value of data has grown exponentially over the past decades, we are still only at the beginning of a data-driven world. That is why this was the right moment to invest in ScTiger.” Future Human Capital Group has already achieved success with its other labels and currently employs approximately 130 people.

Knowledge-driven environment

ScTiger strives to create a knowledge-driven environment, where data is a shared passion and every professional uses it to grow into an expert. Chander Baktawar, one of the two founders of ScTiger, explains: “IT is a shared passion, but in the end it is about people. Every person has a desire to develop. If you understand where they want to go, you can support them in that ambition. That is essentially what we do with our people.” As experienced data specialists, the founders believe it is important to manage the organization from a place of expertise. Rakesh Baktawar, Director of ScTiger, adds: “Management leads the organization by understanding the challenges consultants face. We can literally roll up our sleeves and sit next to our people to help them.”

Three ways of working

The most straightforward model is for professionals to join ScTiger as specialists in permanent employment. Security plays an important role here. The second model is working with freelancers. The freelance market is growing, as is the number of freelance data consultants. Freelancers are strong carriers of knowledge, and we offer them a place where they do not have to stand alone. The third, and most important, model is the associate model, which allows professionals to experience entrepreneurship while still having a degree of security.

Data as a business asset

The stage where companies still need to be told that data is valuable has long passed. Businesses with large amounts of data understand that data is a business asset and should be treated as such. Future Human Capital Group states: “Numbers are leading and every organization uses them to steer performance. Behind those numbers are people. In principle, we do not only focus on numbers, but also on people. When the people in your organization grow, your organization grows.”
